Messrs Lim & Ong offers legal services in major areas of law including conveyancing, property related solicitor's and litigation work, general litigation, family and estate matters, intellectual property, personal injuries claims, company and commercial work and solicitors' work with particular strengths in family, divorce, and matrimonial issues. It offers commissioning and notarial certification as well.
The firm comprises 2 partners - Ms. Lim May Li and Mr. Ong Hean Jin.
Ms. Lim is a Commissioner for Oaths and a Notary Public. She is now in her 26th year in practice. Mr. Ong is also a Commissioner for Oaths, worked previously as an in-house legal officer for 12 years and to-date is in his 13th year of legal practice.
May Li graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree in 1986. She was called to the Singapore Bar in February 1987. She has been in practice since then. Hean Jin graduated from the University of London in 1989 with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree and a Master of Laws from the University of London in 1996.
Being conversant in Mandarin, Hokkien, Cantonese, and Hainanese, May Li had been called on often to translate and explain the security documents and contracts to non-English speaking clients.
The firm was established on 1st February 2007. The firm believes in providing good and quality service and we have both depth and breadth in the areas of our expertise. Many of our clients have been with May Li for more than two decades, and with Hean Jin for as long as ten years. We are guided by the basic tenet of advising on cost-effective and time saving solutions to our clients.
